Country Manager Brazil (management consultancy)

Location: London
Salary: £80000 - £100000/annum + bonus + excellent benefits
Location: Brief inital period in London (6-9 months) then Sao Paulo, Brazil

Travel: 20%

Our client is an international management/strategy consultancy specializing in efficient growth strategies, M&As and commercial due diligence. We are currently assisting them in their search for a Brazil Country Manager to initially work from the London office and later move to Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Main objectives:
Initially working on client assignments as Project Manager, the aim is to prepare you as quickly as possible to take on a local leadership role. As Brazil Country Manager you will run the country operation and report to the CEO in London. This is a client-facing role; you will naturally instill confidence in clients, as well as having the ability to network within chosen industry verticals. You will guide multiple teams to excellent results on assignments. These teams are often multi-cultural, from diverse educational backgrounds and based between offices. To do this you must be a strategic thinker, equally capable of excellent numerical analysis and extracting value from primary customer and competitor research.

Responsibilities:
The Brazil Country Manager will run the Sao Paulo office, taking responsibility for new business development and project execution.
Responsible for the day-to-day management of the staff and office, in close cooperation with the London-based CEO
Exceptional communication and team building/mentoring skills
Strong executive presence and client building/influencing skills
Implementation of local marketing and business development in close cooperation with the Marketing Manager
Identifying opportunities and writing client-winning proposals
Mentor or lead efforts of diverse team members on client engagements to ensure that the focus is correct and that the work meets or exceeds the highest quality standards.
Ability to drive rigorous, fact-based and qualitative analyses of acquisition and other corporate development opportunities, including the application of innovative as well as established analytical tools
Deliver excellent work within very tight timeframes

Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years` post graduate work experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in market-oriented consultancy at manager level
Significant experience of managing client relationships
MBA preferred

Has intensive and diverse knowledge of engineering principles, standards and supports regional and local Engineer during major capital project execution.

Leads Global Technical Networks and coordinates and reviews work of multiple Engineers internal and external
Partners with RandD to drive innovative and step change Engineering solutions and ensures world class implementation considering six sigma tools.
Recommends technical improvements and changes to processes applying best practice and step change solutions across regions and plants and gain management support for recommendations
Provides expertise for conceptual engineering, preliminary scope development, project cost estimating, plant layouts, AR preparation, specifications, detailed process design, vendor selection, and project execution for major capital projects.
Has proficient project management and capital planning skills and is capable to align Engineering priorities with business goals
Shows cross cultural and multi-functional team leadership skills
Lead and/or assist in close partnership with RandD the overall technical design of chocolate processing systems for major capital projects including new plants, plant expansions and new technology implementations considering six sigma tools such as FMEA and DFSS.

Lead Global Technical Networks and interdisciplinary taskforces and coordinates and reviews work of multiple Engineers internal and external to ensure world class implementation.

Lead and/or support conceptual engineering, preliminary scope development, project cost estimating, plant layouts, AR preparation, specifications, detailed process design and vendor selection.

Maintain liaison with individuals and functions within and outside the company e.g. Procurement and suppliers.

Technical improvement and change recommendations to existing processes applying best practice of engineering solutions for the chocolate category across the regions and plants.

Project Management and capital planning support.

Advisor and consultant for technical specialties and technical leader and mentor.
