Senior Deepwater Drilling Engineer - Houston, USA

My client as a world leading operator is looking for a Senior Drilling Engineer to be based in Houston. Deepwater experience is essential, with minimally 3500 ft (approx 1000 meters) and above. The ideal candidate will have previous GoM basin experience, and employment history reflecting rich experience within this field throughout the globe.

As Senior Drilling Engineer your role is to optimize Completion and Well Testing Operations, including well stimulation, and to be responsible for determining and implementing the actions that contribute to increasing the value in of our the Company's production fields as well as identifying the new and remaining development potential of both Operated and non-Operated activities.

Key Responsibilities:

* To validate all Drilling Operations through implementation of Company Standards and technology by performing, proposing and initiating the necessary work and studies with an emphasis on the appropriate technology to be applied in each case
* To define, plan and manage Drilling and Testing Studies required by the CEPSA E&P work program in line with industry quality standards
* To analyze and contribute to the definition of the Drilling Systems to be used on the Group's fields worldwide
* To guarantee and validate the reliability of the data by ensuring compatibility with other disciplines as well as the quality of analogue knowledge management
* To validate the Drilling and Testing Programmes, and ensure compatibility with other Subsurface disciplines of (Reservoir Engineering and Completuions)
* To manage, coach and train junior colleagues, and to organize specific seminars when needed.

Requirements for this role;

* Bachelor's degree (B.s.) in Engineering
* At least 3 years' experience in team leadership
* At least 10 years experience in offshore sub-sea drilling
* Excellent knowledge of Completion Systems and related software
* Good knowledge of techniques and tools for Artificial Lift, Well Stimulation, etc
* Good knowledge of Geoscience disciplines such as Reservoir Engineering and Petroleum Geology
* Good experience of managing of Technical People with a high level of Human Resources proficiency
* Fluency in English is essential, and a knowledge of
Portuguese would be an advantage
